# Refugee Food Festival

Paris, France

## Why Florian Guillaume recommends Refugee Food Festival

> “Refugee chefs in great kitchens. They arrive as talent, with stories you can taste.”
>
> Florian Guillaume, founder of CHNGMKR, May 2026

## About Refugee Food Festival

Created in Paris in 2016 by Louis Martin and Marine Madelande (association Food Sweet Food) in partnership with the UNHCR. The Festival invites refugee chefs to cook in Michelin-starred restaurants for a week, telling their story through their cuisine. Now in 20+ cities worldwide: Lyon, Brussels, London, Beirut, Cape Town, Montreal. 2,000+ refugee chefs participated. The concept flips the narrative: refugees as talent, as teachers, as cultural ambassadors, not victims. One of the most elegant examples of using gastronomy as a tool for social change.

## Italiano

> “Chef rifugiati in grandi cucine.
