## About Knepp Wildland / Isabella Tree

Isabella Tree and her husband Charlie Burrell turned their 3,500-acre conventional farm in West Sussex into Britain's most celebrated rewilding experiment. After years of financial losses trying to farm heavy clay soil, they removed fences, reintroduced free-roaming cattle, pigs, Exmoor ponies and deer, and let nature take over. Within years: turtle doves returned (species on verge of UK extinction), purple emperor butterflies, nightingales, peregrine falcons. Tree wrote 'Wilding' (2018), which became the bible of the rewilding movement. Knepp now runs safaris, training and a rewilding network across the UK.
